Did this in life drawing last week. Kinda got sidelong looks from the rest of the attendees, plus a word from the teacher dude that runs it basically amounting to "oh, thats different." Bummed me out.
Brad I think this is where you need to be with your art. I see some real strong design and confidence in this. It seems that "the proper way" of life drawing will only serve you in proving some thing that you already know. It is the flexing of different muscles that make us stronger artists. Who knows what the others thought---side glances are a hell of a lot better then none--it caught their eye to say the least. I truly enjoy this piece Brad--there is a strong graphic statement coupled with your draughtsmanship!
